Exodus 12:23

"You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning."

Key Reflection

This instruction symbolizes the protection offered by Christ's sacrifice, as the sprinkled blood on the lintel and doorposts spared the Israelites' firstborn from the angel of death during the Passover. It prefigures the New Covenant, where Jesus' blood provides salvation and protection for believers.
