Jeremiah 50:7

"My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have caused them to go astray. They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill. They have forgotten their resting place."

Key Reflection

This passage metaphorically describes Israel as "lost sheep," highlighting their spiritual wandering and lack of guidance. The shepherds, meant to lead them, instead caused further confusion, leading the people to scatter and forget their true place within God’s flock.
