Isaiah 28:19

"Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it."

Key Reflection

This verse suggests that the people's false sense of security, thinking they have made a covenant with death and an agreement with Sheol, will be nullified. When judgment comes, it will overpower them, demonstrating the emptiness of their lies and refuting their false refuge.
