Mark 2:20

"Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast."

Key Reflection

This passage illustrates that during Jesus' presence, His disciples should not engage in fasting but instead rejoice and celebrate the new life brought by the bridegroom, who is Jesus Himself. The metaphor suggests that while He is among them, they should embrace joy rather than sorrow or penitence.
