In Luke 12:30, Jesus urges his followers not to worry about basic necessities like food and drink. This advice is rooted in the trust that God, who cares for all creatures (Matthew 6:26), will provide for them as well. The cultural context of first-century Palestine highlights the importance of these concerns; however, Jesus challenges his disciples to have faith and focus on more significant matters—seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
