Numbers 18:10

"This shall be yours of the most holy things from the fire: every offering of theirs, even every meal offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall give to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons."

Key Reflection

This verse indicates that Aaron and his descendants are designated to receive the most sacred portions of all offerings brought to the Lord. These include not just the sacrifices but also the meal offerings, sin offerings, and trespass offerings, signifying a special privilege in serving as intermediaries between God and the people, highlighting their unique role in the priesthood.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

In the most holy place -Rather, “among the most holy things;” as inNumbers 4:4: i. e. “As the most holy of things shalt thou eat it.” Accordingly, only the males of the priestly families could eat of the things here specified.
