Joshua 2:11
"For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you utterly destroyed."
Key Reflection
The Israelites are addressing Rahab, a Canaanite woman who has harbored Joshua's spies in Jericho. By referencing the miraculous events of the Exodus—such as crossing the Red Sea and defeating Sihon and Og—the Israelites emphasize their God’s power and past victories. This not only establishes credibility but also serves to underscore the threat they now pose, suggesting that Rahab should cooperate with them for her own safety.
