Joshua 11:4
"to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah."
Key Reflection
This verse describes the diverse array of peoples whom the Israelites would encounter and eventually conquer or make peace with as they entered and settled in Canaan. The inclusion of various ethnic groups signifies the comprehensive scope of God's covenant promise, extending to all inhabitants of the land, not just a select few.
