Hebrews 11:2

"Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen."

Key Reflection

Faith in Hebrews 11:2 serves as both a confidence in future blessings we hope for and evidence of realities that are currently unseen. This dual nature underscores how faith enables believers to live by promises yet to be realized, grounding their present actions in an eternal perspective.

See this use of the word in Heb 7:8, and Heb 11:4 of this chapter. Also Lu 4:22; Ac 15:8.
