Deuteronomy 3:28

"Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes; for you shall not go over this Jordan."

Key Reflection

Moses instructs Joshua to ascend Mount Pisgah from where he can survey the Promised Land in all four directions—west, north, south, and east. This act of looking symbolizes a moment of divine insight and preparation for leadership. The context underscores that while Joshua will not cross the Jordan River, his vantage point allows him to see the land in its entirety, preparing him spiritually and strategically for the task of leading the Israelites into possession of their inheritance.
