Proverbs 17:1

"Proverbs."

Key Reflection

The verse "Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife" (Proverbs 17:1) teaches that true contentment and peace are more valuable than mere material abundance. This insight underscores the spiritual principle that harmonious relationships contribute far more to one's well-being than external wealth or possessions.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes
