Mark 6:2

"He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him."

Key Reflection

Jesus left a place of teaching and began traveling back to his hometown of Nazareth, where he was known as Joseph's son. His disciples followed him loyally, illustrating their growing commitment to accompany him in his ministry despite not fully understanding its scope yet. The original audience would have recognized the significance of Jesus returning to familiar territory, knowing the challenges that awaited him there.
