Mark 15:28

"With him they crucified two robbers, one on his right hand, and one on his left."

Key Reflection

This verse places Jesus between two criminals, symbolizing His isolation and the rejection He faced even among sinners. This positioning also foreshadows His role as the ultimate atonement, where He stands in for humanity's罪孽,彰显了救赎的奥秘。

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Verse 28. And the Scripture was fulfilled, etc. This passage of Scripture is found in Isa 53:12. This does not mean that he was a transgressor, but simply, that in dying, he had a place with transgressors. Nor does it mean that God regarded him as a sinner; but that, at his death, in popular estimation, or by the sentence of the judge, he was regarded as a transgressor, and was treated in the same manner as the others put to death for their transgressions.
