Luke 7:12

"Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him."

Key Reflection

After Jesus had performed the miracle of raising the widow's son in Nazareth (Luke 7:11-15), he moved his ministry to a new location, specifically Nain, a nearby town. The large crowd that followed him included not only his disciples but also many curious onlookers, indicating a growing reputation and influence among the people. This scene reflects Jesus' expanding outreach beyond Nazareth, showcasing his miracles and teachings to a broader audience, which would have been striking for both locals and those from surrounding areas who heard about his deeds.
