John 15:12

"I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full."

Key Reflection

Jesus speaks these words to convey that his teachings are meant to bring true, lasting joy to his followers. By abiding in him and following his commands, believers can experience a complete and abiding joy that stems from their relationship with Christ.

Verse 12. This is my commandment. The peculiar law of Christianity, called hence the new commandment. See Barnes "Joh 13:34". As I have loved you.
