Key Reflection

This verse emphasizes the intimate relationship between keeping God's commandments and loving Him. Those who demonstrate this love are not only loved in return by both God the Father and Jesus Christ but also experience a deeper revelation of their divine nature, symbolizing a closer spiritual bond and understanding.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Verse 22. Judas saith unto him. This was the same as Lebbeus or Thaddeus. See Mt 10:3. He was the brother of James, and the author of the Epistle of Jude. How is it, &c. Probably Judas thought that he spake only of his resurrection, and he did not readily see how it could be that he could show himself to them, and not be seen also by others. {u} Lu 6:16 __________________________________________________________________
