Jeremiah 32:25

"“Behold, siege ramps have been built against the city to take it. The city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, of the famine, and of the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it."

Key Reflection

This passage highlights the fulfillment of divine prophecy, showing how God's words come to pass through the actions of the Chaldeans, who besiege the city with siege ramps. It underscores the consequences of sin, as the city falls victim to the combined forces of war, famine, and disease, aligning with God’s judgment as spoken by Jeremiah.

For -See the margin. It is enough to place the command side by side with the state of Jerusalem to show how contrary it is to all the rules of human prudence. The prophet is sure that God will explain to him his difficulty.
