Jeremiah 31:24

"The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Yet again they will use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I reverse their captivity: ‘The LORD bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.’"

Key Reflection

This verse speaks to the restoration and redemption of Israel, indicating that even after suffering and dispersion, the people will once again use a phrase originally associated with divine blessing and holy living when they return to their land. It highlights both the cyclical nature of Israel's history and the enduring presence and promise of God amidst their trials.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Go forth - “Go about.” Judah shall have its settled population and fixed abodes; and shepherds shall move about with their flocks, wherever pasture is to be found.
