Jeremiah 3:17

"It will come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “they will no longer say, ‘the ark of the LORD’s covenant!’ It will not come to mind. They won’t remember it. They won’t miss it, nor will another be made."

Key Reflection

In Jeremiah 3:17, the prophet speaks of a future time when the people of Judah and Israel, having returned to their land in large numbers, will no longer focus on the physical symbols of their covenant with God, such as the ark of the covenant. This verse reflects a shift from material objects to a deeper spiritual understanding of their relationship with the Lord. The removal of these tangible symbols suggests a progression towards an internalized and more intimate form of faith, where the presence of God is experienced in a way that transcends physical artifacts, foreshadowing a transformational relationship based on divine promise rather than mere rituals or objects.
