Jeremiah 3:14

"Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed my voice,’” says the LORD."

Key Reflection

This verse emphasizes acknowledging one's sins as a necessary step in seeking forgiveness. By admitting their transgressions against God and their wandering after false gods, the people are urged to return to faithful obedience to divine commandments.

One of a city, and two of a family -The family (in Hebrew) is far larger than a city, as it embraces all the descendants of a common ancestor. Thus, the tribe of Judah was divided into only four or five families.
