Ezekiel 13:9

"“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord GOD."

Key Reflection

The verse from Ezekiel 13:9 speaks to the prophets who spoke false words and saw lies instead of truth. This was a serious offense in ancient Israel, where divine revelation and prophecy were taken very seriously. The Lord declares that He is against these false prophets, emphasizing the importance of accurate and truthful prophecy in maintaining the integrity of God's message and the trustworthiness of His people.

Assembly -Here “the congregation of the people.” These false prophets were to be struck off from “the writing” or, the rolls, in which the names of all Israelites were registered (comparePsalms 87:6;Exodus 32:32); and therefore when the restorationEzekiel 11:17shall take place these men shall not have part in it.
