Exodus 4:16

"You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do."

Key Reflection

This passage emphasizes divine empowerment for ministry. God assures Moses that he will guide both him and the person to speak effectively, ensuring their words carry His message and power.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Instead of a mouth -We may bear in mind Aaron’s unbroken habitude of speaking Hebrew and his probable familiarity with Egyptian. Instead of God -The word “God” is used of persons who represent the Deity, as kings or judges, and it is understood in this sense here: “Thou shalt be to him a master.”
