Zechariah 2:12

"Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you."

Key Reflection

Zechariah 2:12 envisions a future time when the Lord will gather many nations into His covenant, making them part of Israel and symbolizing the inclusive nature of God's salvation. For Zechariah’s original audience, this prophecy would have resonated with the historical context of the Babylonian exile and its aftermath, where scattered Jewish communities sought reintegration into their homeland and the promise of divine presence among them became a source of hope and identity.
