Revelation 21:10 introduces a pivotal moment in John's vision of the end times. An angel, one of the seven who held the bowls containing the final plagues, beckons John to come closer so that he can reveal the "bride, the Lamb’s wife." This imagery draws on the concept of Israel as God's bride found in the Old Testament (e.g., Isaiah 54:5), but here it specifically points towards the Christian church. The angel's action not only signifies a transition from judgment to redemption but also foreshadows the establishment of God's new covenant kingdom, where believers are united with Christ in a new and eternal relationship.
