Conversely, a leader who detests dishonest wealth will experience enduring success and stability in their reign, as they govern justly and with integrity. The original audience would have understood that such a ruler’s mismanagement and ethical failings would eventually lead to the downfall of their kingdom, while those who upheld moral standards would secure lasting prosperity for themselves and their people.
