John 21:11

"Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”"

Key Reflection

This command from Jesus serves as a moment of recognition and restoration for Peter, signaling that despite his three denials, he remains part of the Lord's work. The act of bringing the fish also points forward to the fullness of God’s provision, reflecting both past failures and future abundance in Christ’s ministry.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Verse 11. An hundred and fifty and three. The number is mentioned because it seems to have been a very unusual draught, and it was particularly gratifying and striking to them after they had spent the whole night and had caught nothing. This convinced them that it was no other than the same Saviour who had so often worked wonders before them that was now with them. __________________________________________________________________
