Jeremiah 8:3
"They will spread them before the sun, the moon, and all the army of the sky, which they have loved, which they have served, after which they have walked, which they have sought, and which they have worshiped. They will not be gathered or be buried. They will be like dung on the surface of the earth."
Key Reflection
This passage metaphorically describes how those who reject God's warnings will abandon their false idols, symbolized by the sun, moon, and stars, which they once loved and served. Their rejection leaves them with no proper burial or remembrance, likened to worthless dung discarded on the earth’s surface, highlighting the ultimate futility of idolatry.
