Isaiah 44:17
"He burns part of it in the fire. With part of it, he eats meat. He roasts a roast and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm. I have seen the fire.”"
Key Reflection
This passage portrays someone who seeks temporary satisfaction through superficial religious rituals rather than genuine devotion or spiritual understanding. The act of burning part of the sacrifice and then using the remaining portion for personal gain illustrates a heart turned away from true worship to self-serving practices.
