Genesis 1:2

"The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters."

Key Reflection

In Genesis 1:2, the earth's initial state as "formless and empty" with "darkness" symbolizes chaos and void—indicative of a world lacking divine order and purpose. The presence of God’s Spirit hovering over the waters suggests His active engagement and intention to transform this chaotic state into something ordered and fruitful.
