Ezekiel 47:9

"Then he said to me, “These waters flow out toward the eastern region and will go down into the Arabah. Then they will go toward the sea and flow into the sea which will be made to flow out; and the waters will be healed."

These waters symbolize divine healing and restoration, flowing from a place of spiritual purity into areas previously barren or cursed, much like the Dead Sea, promising life and vitality to all who encounter them, mirroring Jesus' promise of living water that brings eternal life (John 7:38).

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

The rivers -literally, as in the margin. Perhaps with reference to the circumstance that this “brook or river” is to come into the Dead Sea through the same plain as the Jordan. The one river (Jordan) always flowed, but now, when another river comes in, and “two rivers” flow into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
