Exodus 9:19

"Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now."

Key Reflection

The people of Egypt would have immediately recognized the gravity of this threat, as hailstorms were both rare and devastating in ancient Egypt. Such a storm could destroy crops, livestock, and infrastructure, severely impacting the economy and daily life. The timing and severity of the hail, as foretold by Moses, underscored the power and wrath of the God of Israel, challenging Pharaoh's authority and demonstrating divine judgment on Egypt for its treatment of the Hebrews.
