Key Reflection

In Exodus 15:7, the Israelites sing a song of praise to Yahweh after their miraculous deliverance from Egypt at the Red Sea. The imagery of God’s right hand as a symbol of power and victory would have been immediately recognizable to the ancient Hebrews. They understood that just as a warrior's strong arm could break an enemy in pieces, so too did God's divine might defeat the Pharaoh and his army, ensuring Israel's freedom and establishing Yahweh as their mighty deliverer.
