Colossians 2:13

"having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead."

Key Reflection

This verse symbolizes the Christian's spiritual death to sin and rebirth in Christ through baptism. Just as Jesus was buried and raised by God’s power, believers are united with Christ in these sacramental acts, experiencing a transformative new life in Him.

They lived as those who had not by any religious rite or covenant brought themselves under obligations to lead holy lives. Hath he quickened. See Barnes "Eph 2:1". Together with him. In virtue of his being restored to life. That is, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus was the means of imparting to us spiritual life. {f} "And you" Eph 2:1,5,11 __________________________________________________________________
