Acts 9:12

"The Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,"

Key Reflection

This passage highlights divine guidance and purposeful action. Despite Saul’s intense persecution of Christians, God instructs Ananias to restore his sight, indicating that even those deeply opposed can become significant vessels for divine work.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Verse 12. And hath seen in a vision, etc. When this was shown to Saul, or how, is not recorded. The vision was shown to Saul to assure him when he came that he was no impostor. He was thus prepared to receive consolation from this disciple. He was even apprized of his name, that he might be more confirmed. __________________________________________________________________
