Acts 11:14

"He told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying to him, ‘Send to Joppa and get Simon, who is called Peter,"

Key Reflection

This passage highlights divine guidance through an angelic vision, emphasizing that Peter's role as a leader among believers was confirmed by direct supernatural intervention. The message also underscores the inclusive nature of salvation, as Peter is tasked to reach out to Gentiles, fulfilling God’s broader plan for the Church.

From the Scholars: Barnes' Notes

Verse 14. And all thy house. Thy family. This is a circumstance which is omitted in the account in Ac 10. It is said, however, in Ac 10:2, that Cornelius feared God with all his house. And it is evident, from Ac 10:48, that the family also received the ordinance of baptism, and was received into the church. {c} "tell thee words" Ps 19:7-11; Joh 6:63,68 __________________________________________________________________
